I'm the Director and Associate General Counsel for Open Innovation at Cisco, where I focus on open source and AI legal matters. Before joining Cisco in 2022, I served as outside counsel for the Free Software Foundation, General Counsel at CivicActions, and Counsel at the Software Freedom Law Center.

I came to law after 17 years in IT with the State of Connecticut, working in systems architecture, identity management, and information security. I'm a former CISSP and have held IAPP privacy certifications.
